The name means angel of light. I didn't choose it, but somewhere along the way, it chose the work. I once wanted to be a painter; my hands had other plans. The camera was a quieter brush, and light became the only pigment I ever really needed.
I work in the spaces most people miss: the breath before a vow, the look exchanged across a room, the laugh that arrives a half-second after the photograph is supposed to be over. I'm interested in the truth of a feeling, not the performance of it. Authentic, elegant, alive.
I keep my circle small. New York is home; the rest is wherever the story calls. The couples who find me tend to want the same thing: a record of their day that feels less like documentation and more like a long, slow letter back to themselves.
If something here feels familiar, write to me. We'll begin quietly, and see where the light goes.
With love,
Uriel
